Ear and Throat pain, or Mucus Congestion in Young Children

Ear and Throat pain, or Mucus Congestion in Young Children

Do you or your children suffer from repeated colds and coughs, ear pain, excessive mucus congestion, recurrent sore throats and swollen glands, etc?

Homeopathic medicines can play a role in assisting with the management of these problems, when used in accordance with homoeopathic principles.  I frequently encounter ‘snuffly’ infants (especially), and young children with chronic mucus congestion, constantly runny noses, repeated colds, coughs, sore throats, swollen glands, ear pain etc.

The management of these issues can be assisted with the careful selection and judicious use of certain homoeopathic preparations, prescribed in accordance with homoeopathic principles.  The preparations are selected on the basis of genetic predisposition (miasms) and the constitutional picture (peculiar to the individual’s own particular make-up and temperament).

Infants and children can then enjoy a more robust and balanced state of health and wellbeing, which not only improves their overall mood and temperament, but also takes a lot of unnecessary stress off the parents, and may, very importantly, alleviate the need for repeated use of antibiotic medication.  However, it’s always advisable to seek advice from your GP as well in such situations, and I do not endorse abandoning any medical advice and treatment in favour of homoeopathic management.

Adults with similar problems can also be assisted, although it may take a bit longer to assist with the management of these issues, mainly because the predispositions have been there for such a long time, often starting in early childhood.

(Please discuss any homoeopathic support and management you may be considering with your doctor or medical healthcare practitioner, if you are currently under their care. Generally there are no contraindications with Homoeopathic medicines, but check with your healthcare provider.

Homoeopathy is a traditional medicine. It may be used in conjunction with other medicines. For any ongoing chronic condition, it is important to be assessed or examined by your healthcare professional or specialist. Always seek medical advice in emergencies.)

Please advise Carolyn if you are currently taking any prescription medication.
